Rewired

The word for today: Arrogant. adjective. having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.

It was another Rewired night to remember at Warehouse 135. Travis Monsod opens up nicely for the main event: Kevin Ruiz vs. Funk Avy. The two veteran heavyweights start very slow and deep. They slowly build the energy before it goes mental. House music is all about building tension and release, as the two totally understand this concept. The dance floor was loving it. As promised, the crowd was taken on a journey; from deep house to minimal techno to electro to breakbeats to techno to some trance even. The two DJs were scratching, using effects and whatever they could get their able hands on. They made people dance with flow and creativity (and not with big room ‘floor fillers’ or cheessy vocal anthems). Watching the two was mind-boggling, listening and dancing to the two was mind blowing. The two were feeding off each other’s creativity and then feeding off the crowd’s energy. This was total interaction with the crowd and with themselves. They played for four straight hours. Where in Manila can something like this happen? We don’t need to be too literal to describe the vibe of the night; we have the photos, video and people’s own testimonials.

Rewired @ Warehouse 135, where we promote the DJ as an artist. No anthems or arrogance required. People come for the music, the innovation and the real clubbing vibes, not for one person and not one person will take credit for this. ;=)
